About Me

My photo
I'm an animation student, in my second year of College. It's fantastic and I have a lot of work, but love it all. I play music on the side, and do adventure.

Did this a couple of days ago at my good friend Kyle's house. It's The Kid from Bastion, surrounded by squirts.

Waking up to Led Zeppelin at my dad's house to go downstairs and have a coffee in the early morning hours certainly sets a precedent for the day! I always liked morning at Dad's, the Fredericton sun spilling into the windows.

It's nearly 9 o'clock and I'm soon going to be getting an eye exam. Hopefully I'll be able to get a new pair of kickass frames, but that is tentative for sure. I'll upload another few pictures later this evening perhaps, I have a few that I can put on using Laura's iPhone camera.

Zero of Legend

I drew this today from reference. This character and story are very dear to me, I grew up playing them on my gameboy! I love Megaman Zero, it is a great and tragic series. Unfortunately I don't have access to a high quality scanner, so this is a dark photo under a lamp. I'll upload the crisp clean version later.

Really Cool Sculpture

Okay, I have to post this as well!

Microtonal Music

So I've stumbled across some interesting forms of music that speak to me on a level that most music just does not. Microtonal might be the word to describe it but there are many other forms of it. Simply put, this is any music that does not follow the 12 Tone Equal-Temperament, that is the most common scale used in contemporary music.

The roof is off, the box is open, the walls are gone! The variety that can come from this scaling is amazing. Here I have a few interesting links that I've been looking at. This might not be for everyone, but I feel like it deserves some attention.

Weather Harp

Wind Playing A Harp

Harry Partch and his Strange Musical Instruments (3 Parts)

Migration

Peter Ablinger

These are just some of the strange and wonderful possibilities that are out there. Complete creative freedom exists!

There is something about cats. What is it about cats that everyone loves so much? I think for me it's just that whimsical seriousness that they have. They're so dignified, "I am a Cat. With a capital C!" is their attitude. Yet they bump and wiggle like crazy things. They're just a lot of fun.

It's morning time, and once again I'm going to draw caricatures on Water Street. This time I have some prints that I hope should sell well. If not I can sell them elsewhere. I'm going to have a coffee and play some minecraft. That sounds nice.

These are some pictures of our old Tower of Doom. It was a cheated project so it felt kinda hollow, even though it was really cool. We warped in all the materials. I mean, its a tower of pure obsidian, come on. It would take a thousand diamonds to mine that much! I'm gonna upload some of the awesome new shots of our tree soon.

So I really have to start taking care of my blog. If I want to have people read it, I have to take it seriously. Why don't I mark this occasion as the day I start blogging! To commemorate such an event, I'm going to upload some pictures that haven't seen the light of LCD for a long time.
